How modded GTA names work
A name is plain text with tags mixed in. Tags change colour, font, size, or draw symbols. This preview follows the same pairing rules as the game.
31-byte limit (Enhanced)
Outfit / CEO names cap at 31 UTF-8 bytes. Tags count too — ~r~ is already 3 bytes.

Tildes come in pairs
The game pairs ~ left to right: 1st with 2nd, 3rd with 4th, and so on. Keep an even count. Unknown pairs are hidden (shown here struck out).
Verified slots — console tips
Still works for CEO / organization and outfit names (not license plates). Condensed from the community write-up:
- Add Greek, Chinese, and Japanese keyboards in system settings so you can switch in-game (Greek for Ω).
- Outfits: clothing store → edit saved outfit name. CEO: rename your organization where the game allows.
- On PlayStation / Xbox, Remote Play on phone can make pasting Unicode easier.
- Open the on-screen keyboard and switch input language as needed.
- Insert symbols and letters. Example:
